ベルギー・トゥルンハウト出身。2015年と2016年のシクロクロス欧州U23選手権を連覇した泥のスペシャリストだが、徐々にロードレースへと軸足を移した。2022年のリエージュ〜バストーニュ〜リエージュで2位に食い込んだ際、本人さえ「自分にとっても本当に大きなサプライズだ」と驚きを隠さなかった——泥んこコースで磨かれた粘り強さが、アルデンヌの急坂でついに花開いた瞬間だった。
