コペンハーゲンのアマー地区出身、2000年生まれ。17歳でジュニアの大会を制した直後、栄養補助食品に由来する禁止物質が検出されて10カ月の出場停止処分を受け、「人生が終わったと思った」と語っている。その試練を乗り越えて2021年にプロデビューすると、2023年のツール・ド・スイスと2025年のアムステルゴールドレースを制覇——「自分はずっとアンダードッグだった」という言葉の重みを、勝利で示し続けている。
