オート＝サヴォワ県アンヌマスで生まれ、父オリヴィエがヴェロクラブ・アンヌマスの会長を務めた自転車一家の長兄だ。弟ヴァランタンも妹マエヴァも競技の道へ進み、ヴァランタンは2022年にプロとなりAG2Rシトロエンで兄と同じジャージを着た。2018年にプロ入りしたこのクライマーにとっての金字塔が、2023年ジロ・デ・イタリア第4ステージを逃げ集団から制した区間優勝——山頂でもぎ取ったその一勝は、一家で紡いできた自転車人生の結実だった。

Aurélien Paret-Peintre (French pronunciation: [ɔʁeljɛ̃ paʁɛ pɛ̃tʁ]; born 27 February 1996 in Annemasse) is a French cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Decathlon CMA CGM Team. Professional since 2018, he has most notably won the fourth stage of the 2023 Giro d'Italia from the breakaway. His first professional win was the 2021 Grand Prix La Marseillaise. His younger brother Valentin is also a professional cyclist.
